How many ROWAphos for a 200 l tank?
Purchased your Rowa Phos & your leaflet says to put 100ml for upto 800 litres . I have a 200 - 210 litre tank and would like to know if 25ml of Rowa Phos would be correct . (Our phosphate is measuring 1)
Thank you
Answer:
Dear Ken,
you can use the total amount of 100 ml for your tank. It will not be a problem. Or you cut it in half (50 ml) and use the second half afterwards when the fist charge is exhausted.

Light conditions for test reading
Hello
I have a rowa high-resolution phosphate test. Under what kind of lighting should i read the results? I noticed a clear differens under natural sunlight an normal home lighting, 0,045 sunligt and 0,03 under home lighting.
Sorry for my poor english, but my german is even worse.
Yours truly
Niklas Å.
Answer:
Dear Niklas,
it is better to use artifical light for the measurement, because the luminosity of the sunlight varies from day to day. But the used light source has to be bright enough. Dimmed light is of course not suitable for the measurement.
When you always use the same light for the reading you will be able to compare your test results and you will see when you have to change your phosphate adsorber material.

Change of ROWAphos in salt water aquaria
How often do I need to change ROWAphos in saltwater aquariums and is it an iron (Fe) based product.
Best Regards
Jeff
Answer:
Dear Jeff,
the material is exhausted when the phosphate concentration increases. At this point you have to change ROWAphos. It is not possible to say exactly how long it will take. The duration is different from tank to tank and depends on e. g. the phosphate input by feed, microbiological activity in the tank.
Please check the phosphate concentration with a good and reliable test kit. We recommend our test kit which is very reliable.
Yes, it is an iron based product. We put some additional information in. You can find it here.

ROWAphos spilled in tank
Answer:
Dear Michael,
the clouding of the water will disapear after a few hours. ROWAphos is harmless to fish and corals. So there will be no negative effects on them with the exception of the optical view.
The only way getting the ROWAphos grains out of the tank is using a duff cleaner for suction cleaning (don't know the correct term). I mean something you use to clean the gravel of a tank. Please ask your dealer. In freshwater aquaria it is often used.
Sorry, but we haven't got any other tip.

Best before date of refill test kit
Hallo!
Question about Refillkit for the High Sensitivity Phosphate Test. Do the refillkit have a expired? date? If not-why? My retailer says that there is no exp.date on the refillkit.
Best regards
Thomas Lindkvist

Answer:
Dear Thomas,
each one of our test kits has got a best before date. But we can't tell you with best before date that test kit has, because we don't know the charge number of it.
We do not sell them any longer, because the demand was very limited.
Best regards
